Visitors to The Gordon Highlanders Museum’s Armoury Room come face-to-face with an impressive display of edged weapons, firearms and medals from Napoleonic times to the present day. The objects are all recorded in the Museum’s Adlib database system and CMC developed touch screen software that provided access to that content. Users can explore some of the highlights of the exhibition as well as use the search system to call up and investigate items that they are interested in from the displays in the room.
CMC went on site to create new photography of the best-known medals, blades and firearms which gave the program a consistent, high-quality feel with the option to flip objects over and ‘pinch and zoom’ in for details.
